David has worked in private architectural practice all of his working
life. As a result, he has comprehensive experience of the Architect’s
role from initial scheme design, through planning and detailed
building design, to administering building contracts on site.
David has worked on a wide variety of projects, including:
Education: Primary and secondary schools in both the independent
and the state sectors, including schools for children with special
educational needs.
Housing (private developer housing, publicly funded housing and
one-off houses and refurbishments of existing houses for individual
clients).
Commercial developments including offices, shops, hospitality,
factories and warehousing.
Roadside Developments including petrol filling stations and motor
dealerships.
Specialist projects including veterinary centres, health care facilities
and equine facilities.
David has acted as Architect, lead consultant in design teams and
contract administrator, working on a wide range of both new build
and refurbishment projects throughout his career.
Over the years, David has developed a particular specialisation in work
within the educational sector and on listed buildings and work within a
conservation area setting.
David recently worked with Deyton Bell on the Hertfordshire Enterprise Zone project.
