Cambridge, UK, 29th July 2009 – Deyton Bell, are delighted to announce that they will be working with the Belgian Embassy to organise an important initiative supporting European Business Development. The Embassy will be hosting a series of breakfast seminars across the East of England taking place in October with a focus on Belgium as Gateway to Europe and are keen to attract organisations from across the region to attend. These specialist events will elaborate on how businesses can profit from tackling the continental European market.

Reflecting on the announcement, Chris Parkhouse, Managing Director of Deyton Bell said “I am delighted that Deyton Bell will be working with The Belgian Embassy to coordinate this exciting initiative for them. Belgium represents a great platform for organisations seeking European expansion and the seminars offer an excellent opportunity for businesses to learn more about what’s possible and more importantly how they can make it happen.”

The seminars, which are open to all businesses, will take place on 3 consecutive days, in different locations between 8am-10.30am as follows:

  • Tuesday October 20th
    The National Skills Academy, Norwich
  • Wednesday October 21st
    Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre, Cambridgeshire
  • Thursday October 22nd
    Stansted Airport, Essex

Ben De Smit, Economic and Commercial Councellor at The Belgian Embassy, will be they key note speaker at the events. He commented “It is a great time for UK businesses to explore trade and investment opportunities in Europe. The European continent offers some very attractive markets, which are easy to access in terms of both geography and trade. Belgium boasts a uniquely central location at the hub of the wealthiest area of Europe at the crossroads of European trade and offers businesses a stable market-driven economy.”

Other expert speakers will cover important issues such as how to finance operations, tax, incentives and other practicalities. There will also be an opportunity to have one to one meetings with the speakers and other embassy officials, following the seminar.

The seminars will also be supported by East of England International, as well as Business Link, The IoD, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and the Global Trade Network.
